We are Mehmet and Kristel, a husband-and-wife photography team who traded the Toronto skyline for the big skies of Edmonton. Formerly Akif Efe Photography, we are now Leonica’s Vision Photography, a name that marks a new chapter in our creative journey and our life together.

The Philosphy

We believe photography is about more than just settings and shutter speeds, it’s about trust, connection, and the quiet magic of a fleeting moment. Our goal is simple but profound, to capture genuine, beautiful memories that feel exactly like you. Whether it’s the chaotic joy of family session or the quiet intimacy of a wedding day, we are there to document your story with honesty, care, and heart.

Why “Leonica’s Vision”?

Every decision we make is guided by intention. Our business is named after our daughter, Leonica, our daily reminder of how fast time moves and why preserving memories matters. She inspires us to see the beauty in everyday and to document moments that families will cherish for generations.

How We Work

We bring two unique perspectives to every shoot.

  • Mehmet (The Eye): As the lead photographer, I focus on the light, the composition, and the raw emotion of the moment.

  • Kristel (The Heart): My wife and trusted partner, Kristel is the quiet force that keeps everything running seamlessly. From the initial planning to the little details on the shoot day, she ensures you feel relaxed, organized, and taken care of.

Together, we create a space where you can laugh, breathe, and just be yourselves. Let’s tell your story through our lens, with heart.
